College Football week 9

1. Texas vs. 6. Ok St. Once again Texas is playing a top ten team this week. My question is how much field is left for Mack Brown to keep burying last weeks game tape/clippings? I picked against Texas last week and well that didnt work out to well. This week im back on the Texas bandwagon. Colt McCoy is the Heisman front runner and well deserved he completing 80% of his passes. Ok St wants this game more than anyone can imagine. If you remember this team had Texas down 35-14 going into the 4th last season and lost. Here's the problem i see, Texas came back last season down 21 in the 4th on the road with a Colt McCoy that was not even close to where he is now. Texas has won the past 10 meetings in the series and is 20-2 all time. Those are some good odds, so ill take the horns.

2. Alabama vs. Tenn. Alabama is good and Tenn is not that simple. If Alabama would just play 4 quarters once then they would have a margin of victory that was around 30 points, but they don't because they decide to just stay in the locker at halftime and never come back out. But this is ok for Bama because fortunately for them Tenn is awful. Tenn is so bad this year (3-4) that i dont think Peyton Manning could help at this point. They have no qb, a couple good rb's that dont have a clue how to run the ball and a coach that has to be sitting there wondering when he is going to get fired. The last time Bama beat Tenn is back to back games was 91-92. Look for that to change. Roll Tide Roll

3. Penn St. vs. 9. Ohio St. Its safe to say at this point that this is the Big Ten's championship game. There are all kinds of stats that back up my point on why The Vest will win. 1. Penn st has a 10 game road losing streak against ranked opponents. 2. The last time they won in Columbus was 1978. 3. The Buckeyes have won 12 out of their last 13 conf home games against ranked opponents. Now here's something interesting, who would have ever thought that the starting qb of Ohio St. would be from Penn, and the starting qb of Penn St. would be from Ohio. Penn St. has alot of offense. Clark is Penn St. version of Troy Smith, they also have DW-2 who is a Ted Ginn like player. With that said Ohio St. has Malcolm Jenkins who is the 2nd best corner in fb, they also have Laurantis who is arguably the best LB in the country. Ohio St. wr core is excellent as well with Hartline and Robskie, they have Beanie and i believe Pryor will do enough that Joe Pa falls out of the press box to his death. Ohio St. in a tight one.

4. Oklahoma vs. K-State. Honestly theres not much to say here. Sam Bradford is going to be the top pick in the draft. The Sooners are fare more talented than K-State. Bradford threw for 468 yards last week and gets to face the 93rd rank pass d in the country this week, uh-ooh K-State. Oklahoma by 2 td's

5. USC vs. Arizona. I think everyone knows where i am going here. USC has been on a misson since losing to Oregon St out scoring opponents 141-10. USC has won the last 6 meetings between this schools. USC d is just to fast for the Cats, and Joe McKnight is probably going to play, with that said ill pick the Trojans to continue on their path to Miami and the Natl. Championship.

7. Georgia vs. 13. LSU. The match up between the most over hyped team in college fb and the team that is one good hurricane away from being wiped off the map. Whoever losses this game can kiss a Natl. Championship shot goodbye. LS-Who is the most one dimensional team in the top 25, i feel that if i went to LS-Who and uttered the words quarterback it would create the same up roar as if i said Katrina. Stafford has a big arm but overall i dont like him, Know-Sho Moreno is a good back who will get is numbers and A.J. Green is a thug (that's a good thing). LS-Who is favorite which is funny cause UGGA and the Dogs will win this game.

8. Texas Tech vs. 23. Kansas. Where do i begin here. Ok Kansas here's my problem with you 1. Your quarterback should be the star on Little People Big World. Todd Reesing we all know you are vertically challenging and can not see over your center. 2. Your best receiver was your QUARTERBACK just 2 years ago. 3. Your head coach looks like he should be in the Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest, can anyone imagine the amount of snacks this man must have in his office, Jesus Christ he is the sole reason why Hostess is still in business. Now to Texas Tech, Graham Harrell is to good and will throw for his 400 yards, Kansas has no answer to Michael Crabtree who is the top wr in the country. Tech will lose this season but not this week as i like the Red Raiders to win in a shootout.

10. Florida vs. Kentucky. Can someone explain to me how in the hell is Florida ranked 10th, they should be higher. Florida has won a whopping 21 straight against the Cats. Another number that is not in KU favor is that the last time they beat a top-10 opponent on the road was 1977 against Penn St. Florida has a track team and superman. Go Gators. On another note i found out that the greatest Florida Alum of all time.... Erin Andrews was here for our game Thurs night. This brought a small tear to my eye because everyone from the station that worked the game said that she was very nice, and even took pictures and gave out autographs. This is upsetting seeing as how i did not work the sidelines this game, it is also upsetting because Erin Andrews is the best looking women to ever work in sports. Some good news she will be here with Dick Vitale March 7 when we play Louisville in b-ball.

12. Boise St. vs. San Jose St. 33-16 F

14. TCU vs. Wyoming. Whenever your team has been placed in the bottom 10 that's usually a sign that you suck. TCU did just beat the Mormons (BYU). TCU has the top ranked defense and Wyoming is ranked last in scoring, so i think ill go out on a limb and say TCU wins.

15.Missouri vs. Colorado. THIS JUST IN: Chase Daniels Blows in Big Games. History is not on Chase's side in big games. Big-12 Championship=blow out, 8. Ok St=Blow out, 1. Texas=Blow out. I mean come on already your suppose to be a Heisman candidate, that means you don't want to play like Erik Crouch. Mizzou still can reach the Big-12 Championship but they need to win out. Mizzou was averaging 53.4 ppg prior to their last to games. Verses Ok. St and Texas they had a combined 54 points. This is one of those games where is Mizzou losses, come December when you turn on the PapaJohn's Bowl you will be saying to your Uncle hey what ever happen to that Chase Daniel Fellow. Mizzou, its not a big game so they should win.

16. USF vs. Louisville. These are the top to offense in the Big East, that's really not saying much though. The Bulls beat Louisville the last time these two teams met 55-17. USF has lost 2 though to UL both coming on the road. The Bulls have to win this game if they want to have any shot at winning the Big East. USF in a good game

17. Pitt vs. Rutgers. I wonder if Greg Schiano ever wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares of 80 degree wheater and South Beach, because that is what he passed up, The U for Rutgers. Rutgers has won 3 straight against Pitt. LeSean McCoy will carry this rushing attack thats avg a 114 yards per game. Neither team has a great qb, Teel has struggled all season and he is the only chance Rutgers has to win this game. Pitt

18. Georgia Tech vs. UVA. Paul Johnston has had success in his 1st season, something no one saw coming. Ga-Tech has picked up the triple option quickly, and the question of if this system could work against ACC foes has been answered with a resounding yes. UVA is only 4-3 and are not as good as Tech. It is looking like Tech going be going BCS bowling something no one saw coming.

19. Tulsa vs. UCF. I know to 2 things about this game. 1. Tulsa scored in bunch's, 77 in their last game. 2. Kevin Smith has left the building UCF. Tulsa has the number 1 offense in the country while UCF is 108 with 17 ppg. Tulsa will score to many points for UCF to keep up.

20. Ball St. vs. E. Michigan. Ball St. offense has yet to miss a beat since losing Donte where is the Love to Kevin Evertt syndrome. Nate Davis is 9th in the country in passing yards and will most likely shred E. Michigan. Ball St. by a wide margin.

21. BYU vs. UNLV. The shoe did not fit for this so called Cinderella. The Mormons laid a egg against TCU and need to rebound against UNLV. BYU still has Max Hall who is getting ready to celebrate his 40th birthday by now, Hall is a good player and BYU will win this game, and afterwards celebrate with their 4 wives.

22. Northwestern vs. Indiana. Northwestern is ranked 22 in the country and deserving so even if it is shocking that they are the only school in the state of Illinois that is ranked. IU has Kellen Lewis and thats it, and he is not good enough to win this game on his own, so ill take Northwestern.

24. Minn vs. Purdue. Minn won just 1 game last season and now they are 6-1. Purdue is 2-5 and have fell apart in Joe Tillers final season. It has been 18 season since Minn has went into Purdue and left with a win. The Boilermakers look to snap a 17 game losing steak to top 25 teams. I think Purdue could pull off the upset here, and in this past few seconds i have decided to pick Purdue in a upset.

25. FSU vs. Va Tech. Va Tech blew out FSU last season ending Bobby Bowden streak of 15 consecutive wins over Tech. FSU qb situation is not great, well neither is Va Tech's but Tyrod Taylor seems to just win games. I like Beamer Ball to pull it out for 2 years in a row.

NFL Picks Week 7

Titans -9 vs. Chiefs. Larry Johnson is in active for this game so now the question is how many points will the chiefs get? 7, 10 that's about it, Tenn doesn't score a whole lot of points but in this case ill take the Titans.

Cowboys -7 vs Rams. Romo is the number 2 this week vs. the Rams. With that said i hope he doesn't play because its the rams, yes they did just beat Wash but lighting wont strike twice and Dallas as too much talent to lose this game. Even with Brad Johnson Dallas should still win by double digits.

Bills PK vs. Chargers. This is a long road trip for SD. The Bills are banged up and will struggle. LT is getting better week by week, and finally recovering from turf toe. Even though West Coast teams usually played bad when they go on these west coast-east coast trips in the chargers are a more talented team and should win this game.

Steelers -9.5 vs. Bengals. Through six weeks, Chris Perry has rushed for 253 yards on 96 carries (2.6 per carry) and the Cincy QBs have thrown for 1,039 yards, four TDs, seven INTs. Those aren't skill positions; those are still positions. This would be the worst team in the league if Detroit's Dan Orlovsky didn't scramble out of the end zone undaunted for three seconds last Sunday before anyone fully processed what was happening. Palmer is going to sit out of this game so take the Steelers and the points.

Dolphins -3 vs. Ravens. The Dolphins got some bulletin board material this week when Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that off-coordinator Cam Cameron did a great job last season with what he had. Unless you lived under a rock then you know that Cameron went 1-15. Flacco sucks still, the phins have more talent so ill take them.

Bears -3 vs. Vikings. The Bumbling Idiots Bowl is what i call this game. Brad Childress is at the point where he needs to either retire or get hit by a bus, either one would be a positive for Vikings fans. After Minnesota beat the Lions by 2 thanks in part to Dan Orlovsky, Childress said well men this is a good win there is no such things as a bad win. Our you fucking kidding me? He must be, whenever you beat a team that could lose to the school of Hellen Keller and your fans at halftime are talking about Kevin Love and the T-Wolves its a bad win. Then there is Lovie Smith, Lovie decided to squib the ball with 11 seconds left in the 4th with his team winning. Lovie's reasoning was about as logical as if it came from someone in a coma. Lets squib the ball give the Falcons the ball at the 40, let Matt Ryan do his best Brett Farve impersonation and win the game. Real Smart Lovie. Give me the Vikings, at least they have All Day Peterson.

Panthers -3 vs. Saints. At this point were in take the home team in every NFC South matchup. The panthers were embarrassed last week but thats ok because they were the road team. The Saints get Shockey and Colston back but i figure neither one of them will be a key part in the offense this week. Bush has a slight tweek in his hammy as well. One thing of interest here, if i was a NFC South team i would employee the Bush rule. That is allow Ray J to be present at every game, it will get into Reggie's head faster than you can say sex tape. Ill take the panthers.

Giants -10.5 vs. Niners. Mike Nolan needs to be fired now, right now. Up 9 in the fourth with one of the top running backs in football and what does Nolan do? he's passes over and over and over again. The giants will win this and cover simply because there more talented.

Texans -9.5 vs. Lions. The Lions are a disaster, there disaster level is right around Katrina at this point. I think i could go to a local supermarket and field a more competitive team. The Texans have more talent with A. Johnson and well thats its o and Mario Williams. If im lucky i will get to see Matt Schaub do the end zone celebration where he fired the ball 100 mph into the wall only this time it hits a fan squarely in the head, or maybe it could it the person who came on here and basically called me a jackass because i said NE had to travel back and fourth, yea lets hit that dumb fuck.

Colts -1.5 vs Packers. The Colts are back to January form now with Manning locked in. Addai is out with a hamstring injury but none the less Indy is a better team than GB. Give me Indy.

Jets -3 vs Raiders. "Paging Dr. McFadden ... Dr. McFadden, please report to the 2008 fantasy season ... paging Dr. McFadden ... this is an emergency ..." Tom the Cable Guy is a mess and Oakland is officially done. Can anyone else imagine a Raiders practice? Picture this Dangelo Hall covering Javon Walker. I would imagine its something like trying to watch Hellen Keller speak, just painful all around. The Raiders actually played for Kiffen but now they could care less. JETS.

Skins -7.5 vs. Browns. Every time they show Romeo Crennel on the sidelines, it seems like he's thinking to himself, "Five ... five ... five dollar foot loooooooooong ..." And you know what? I still like the Browns this week no matter what's happening with Kellen Winslow's testicles. Hey, did anyone else feel dumb about laying 13 points with the Redskins last week, losing the game outright, then realizing they had won their previous four games by a total of 20 points? Or was it just me? The Skins are hungry about being embarrassed but the Browns offense actually showed a pulse last week.

Bucs -10.5 vs Seahawks. The Seahawks are so banged up there starting to look like Jason Kidd's wife. Dear Lord im sorry that's awful, the seahawks are so banged up their starting to look like Mike Vicks pit bulls. Ok so im going to hell now, but you get the idea, ill take the Bucs

Pats -3.5 vs Broncos. My have the mighty fallen, though this was expected just not this bad. The pats are at this point, the defense realizes that no team can win a super bowl with a guy like Matt Cassell. Randy Moss is out running every defender in football only to have to break his ankle in order to try and catch a under thrown ball. The pats biggest weakness is their secondary which is just awful, and Denver's greatest strength is their passing game. I still stand by my Jay Cutler for MVP, and Brandon Marshall who may be the best WR in football will treat the Pats secondary like R Kelley treats teenagers.

College Football week 8

1. Texas vs. 11 Mizzou. The battle between the Heisman front runner Colt McCoy and the guy who was the front runner just a week ago Chase Daniels. Chase's stock took a hit last week when he threw 3 picks. Colt on the other hand is completing 80% of his passes which is unheard of. I picked Texas last week but this week im gonna take Mizzou. Texas has two freshman in the secondary, granted i love Muschamp and think he is a defensive genius but Texas hasn't seen a WR like Jeremy Macklin, plus Chase was off last week because he wore #25. #10 will be back this week so ill take Mizzou in a close one.

2. Bama vs. Ole Miss. Bama has one 4 straight and 20 of the last 23, did i also mention they had a week off? Ole Miss will not upset Bama like they did Florida, and Houston i bust a Nutt has no more tricks up his sleeves. Bama

3. Penn St. vs Michigan. UPSET!!!! Heres my upset special of the week. Penn St has lost the last 9 outing against Michigan. Michigan did just lose to Toledo im aware which is why i think there gonna come into this game under the radar. There 23 point dogs, so there getting no respect. The fire Rich Rod site are already up but i look for him to have his team ready to play. Yes St. is having a White Out, but lets not forget the last time they had a White Out Ohio St. ended up whiting them out right off the field. Look for the so call "Spread HD" too be dialed down to digital cable this week friends.

4. Oklahoma vs. 16. Kansas. Not sure how Oklahoma losses and only drops 4 spots, but hey that's college football. I sure as hell would not want to be KU this week. OU just lost the Red River Shootout and showed why Bob Stoops now cant win the big game. OU can score at will, look for them to get upwards of 40+ points and win this game.

6. USC vs. Wash St. USC has won the past 5 by an avg of 27.6 pts. This game will be over by half-time, shit it could be over with 12 mins to go in the first. All you need to know is that Wash St. is so bad they had an open campus tryout for Qb position.

7. Texas Tech vs. Texas A&M. Tech has won 6 of its last 7 against A&M. Tech got its bad game out of their system last week as they beat Nebraska in OT. Graham Harell has 20-3 td to int ratio. Tech will once again score at will and should win by 2 td's.

8. OK ST. vs. Baylor. I would not be surprised if Baylor kept this game close for a while. Ok St. is coming off a big win at Mizzou. Robert Griffin Baylor's qb is a stud and only a freshman. He can keep things interesting. In the end Zac Robinson and this high octane rushing offense will prevail.

10. Georgia vs. 22 Vandy. Its officially time for Vandy to go to the grave. There not good in my opinion, they cant score, quarterback play is a non-existent word in their vocabulary, and their d isnt great either. Georgia on the other hand is one of the most over hyped teams in the country. Stafford is not as good as everyone thinks, Know-Sho Moreno is good but not that not 5 back that everyone thought he was, i will say that A.J. Green is a straight animal. Bottom Line Vandy is allergic to scoring someone should get them some Benadryl, Georgia will score 20+ and win and end this fairy tale bullshit season of Vandy.

12. Ohio St. vs 22. Mich St. Ohio St. has more play makers that's obvious, but what they dont have is Javon Ringer. I think i just heard half of Columbus stand up and shout Beanie Wells, Beanie is good but Ringer gets the ball 39 times a game and is a lock for at least 170 yards. If Brian Hoyer can just do his best Joe Flacco impersonation and manage the game than Sparty will pull of the upset.

13. LSU vs. South Carolina. LSU is 6-0 under Les Miles coming off a loss. The last time South Carolina has beat LSU was 1994. Chris Smelly sucks, i often wonder if he has been check for color blindness cause he only has 1 more td than int. Scott just needs to get 120 yards and LSU will take it. I figure he'll get that so ill take the Tigers.

14. Utah vs. Colorado St. Utah is my BCS buster, so ill take them and hope they remain undefeated going into BYU where they can win and punch their ticket.

17. Va Tech vs. B.C. I think Va. Tech is going to win the ACC. B.C. has been a surprise to me at 4-1 without Ryan. Va Tech has only one road loss in ACC play since joing the league and that came in 2006 at B.C. If Va Tech can get their 108th rank offense off the ground then watch out. Tyrod Taylor is not flashy but the kid wins games. Look for Beamer ball too rear its head again and Va Tech to get the win.

18. UNC vs UVA. Butch Davis has the magic working again. Down to their 3rd string qb and still pulling out w's. UVA lost to Duke, i know Duke is 3-2 but its Duke so i dont care what their record is. UNC did just lose star WR Brandon Tate so thats going to hurt them alot but they still have enough play makers to win this game.

19. USF vs. Syracuse. Syracuse is a disgrace to the football world. Anyone who has done something wrong in life i.e. murder (O.J.), stealing (O.J.) or anything else should be forced to watch Syracuse for a season. After watching them for a year that person would be a changed man. USF big, something WVU should have done.

21. Wake Forest vs. Maryland. Riley Skinner is like that one ugly girl in every class. You know shes nice and probably a really nice person aswell but in the end you dont want to be seen with her. Thats how i feel about him, hes a nice kid who as he say " manages the game well". I would not want people to know that he was my qb. Something of intrest is Maryland has won 4 straight against ranked opponents. With that said Maryland is nothing special, and well their Maryland so take Wake Forest.

23. Pitt vs. Navy. Pitt picked the right time for a bye because Navy is no easy opponent. It is almost impossible for a team to learn how to defend the wishbone in a week which is the offense Navy uses. Pitt had 2 weeks to figure it out. The X-Factor will be LeSean McCoy who will rush for over a 150 yards and carry Pitt to a victory.

25. Cal vs. Arizona. At this point Cal coach Jeff Tedford is playing mind games with himself. One week he wants to start Kevin Riley the next Nate Longshore. Just make up your mind i mean shit they both suck so its a lose lose situation. Cal has been off for 12 days which will help. Zona is coming off a 1 point loss to a improved Stanford team. In the end the quaterbackless Golden Bears shall win.
season record 13-4

Big-12 vs. SEC

The debate for conference supremacy is really heating up now between the Big-12 and SEC. Call me crazy but i am at the point where i think the Big-12 is better. I am aware that no one outside of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas agree with me but there's a argument to be had. The SEC is the conference where football junkies go. Its old school hard hitting football with alot of defense, the type of football your dad would enjoy. The Big-12 is the next gen of football. A whole lot of points, no defense allowed type of football, for the casual fan this is what you like and for most people this is just more exciting. Currently the Big-12 has the greatest assembly of qb's one conference has ever seen. Colt McCoy is the Heisman front runner, Sam Bradford is going to be a top 10 pick, Graham Harrell throws for 50 td's and 5,000 yards like its no ones business, you have Chase Daniels who coming into the week was the Heisman front runner and is a great college qb, theres also Zac Robinson who just beat and out played Daniels, o lets not forget Cody Hawkins, Josh Freeman, Joe Ganz, and Robert Griffen all play in the conference and could start any where else. The SEC just has Tebow and Stafford and thats its. The SEC has two main arguments for why they are the best, (1) that the conference has produced four champions in five years and (2) that the conference has "depth." As for previous champions ask Alabama or Ole Miss what they think about previous champions, previous champions having no bearing on this year, because well there LAST YEARS CHAMPIONS!!! Now to the depth issue, there's no way to pretend Tennessee (losers to UCLA, narrow victors over Northern Illinois) is a high quality team this year; ditto Mississippi State, now 2-4 and sinking like a stone. The bottom half of the conference as a whole, in fact, is pretty painful to watch. Auburn is running a broken version of a gimmicky high school offense, and Steve Spurrier not only isn't fielding a competent offense at South Carolina this year—he hasn't since he arrived. Now the Big-12 top teams show why they are superior than the SEC top. Florida lost to Ole Miss, Bama barely beat Kentucky, and LSU snuck by Auburn. As for the Big-12 Oklahoma beat Baylor by 32, Texas beat Coloroado by 24, Mizzou beat Nebraska by 35, and Texas Tech beat K-State by 28. And no go along with the SEC "no weeks off" motto, Nebraska took Tech to OT. Your probably figuring that im making the argument for the SEC by saying the bottom half can compete with the top where as the Big-12 top crushed the bottom but im not, I'm suggesting that the SEC's supposed juggernauts have rather limped by teams rated equally to the lower tiered Big 12 teams—who were just obliterated by the Big 12's actual juggernauts. For example: #13 LSU unimpressively getting past #98 Mississippi State 34-24, or #7 Florida losing at home to #48 Ole Miss.
Contrast with, for example: #6 Missouri thrashing #41 Nebraska in Lincoln, 42-17, or #21 Oklahoma State routing #100 Texas A&M 56-28, also on the road. Now you SEC fans will bring up the schedules of the Big 12's four undefeated teams, to which I have this to say: 1) I'm sorry, but which non-conference wins from the SEC am I supposed to be gushing over? Bama over Clemson was impressive up until we found out just how mediocre the Tigers were when they dropped one to Maryland. Georgia's win over ASU might have looked better had the Sun Devils proven themselves a good enough team to handle UNLV. And Florida's big non-con win was over #54 rated Miami. Beyond that, it's slim pickins', so you'll forgive me if I don't consider finger-pointing at the schedule to be particularly true. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are a couple aspects to each game. One is the opponents quality, the second would be the margin of victory. Now the BCS does not allow for margin of victory to be included in its rankings, but Jeff Sagarin's who provides rankings to USA Today has his own ratings which take into account all the data including margin of victory. In his ratings the SEC does very well with two teams in the Top 10, four in the Top 15, and five in the Top 26. The funny thing is the only conference to top them is guess, go ahead guess, if you guessed the Big-12 then your right. The Big-12 has four teams in the Top 10, and a fifth at #25. For those of you who had a hard time figuring that out its 5-5 for each but the Big-12 has four in the top 10 to the SEC 2 The SEC is a good conference dont get me wrong, but i feel that this year fans are basing their arguments that the SEC is the best conf. on previous years, and good head coaching.

NFL Picks Week 6

saints -7 vs oakland. Take the saints, that simple

Colts -4.5 vs Baltimore. Manning vs. Lewis. The Colts are 0-2 in Lucas Oil Stadium, look for Manning to continue what he did in the 4th quater last week. The ravens will keep them in it but ill take Manning over Flacco. Colts

Jets-6 vs Bengals. Palmer out. Take the J-E-T-S

Bucs-1.5 vs Panthers. Take Carolina. Fox has owned Gruden, and he has a 2 headed monster at rb again and Jake Delhomme is 7-1 against the Bucs.

Bears-2.5 vs Falcons. Orten is overdue to have bad game. The Falcons are playing well look for them to build off of last week victory at GB. Ill take ATL.

Minn-13 vs. Det. Kitna is out, Roy Williams keeps bitching, the Lions are horrible. Ill take Minn

Texans-3 vs Mia. The Texans are hungry. Ronnie what can Brown do for you will be held in check just enough for Houston to win.

Den-3 vs Jags. Jay Cutler and his diabiets are going to win MVP. enough said Jags are overrated, ill take denver

Skins-14 vs Rams. Wash should win by 20. Jason Campbells Soup has yet to turn the ball over, so ill take the skins.

Eagles-4.5 vs Niners. No Westbrook, traveling out to SF not an easy feet. Ill take the niners and the points.

Cowboys-6 vs Arizona. The boys secondary is a mess, luckily for them Boldin is out. Look for Tony Romo No Homo to put up just enough points for Dal to cover.

Seahwaks-2 vs. GB. Are we serious with this, a team that gave up 44 points is a 2 point fav. Give me GB.

Chargers-6 vs Pats. SD need the game more than NE. A loss combined with a den victory puts SD 2 games behind. LT has not been himself, i look for him to get back on track. Its tough for any teams to fly from SF to NE then back to SD. Ill take SD

Giants-8 vs Browns. Derek Anderson sucks, Winslow is likely out. Plax is hungry after seeing the offense throw up 44 points woithout him. Give me the giants.

Last week vs. the line 1-2-1
Season vs. line1-2-1.

College Football week 7

1. Oklahoma vs. 5. Texas. Texas trots into this game with their mythological qb, and also being an underdog. Serious where does Mack Brown get these qb's Colt McCoy, Major Applewhite, whats next Hoof Cattle. I dont know but what i do know is Texas is getting NO respect in this game. Their 7 point dogs to Choke-loma. All i been hearing is Oklahoma's offense is too much for Texas, well friends Texas has the 4th ranked defense in the country. I believe Will Muschamp will be able to come up with enough wrinkles too keep Texas in the game, and ultimately it will come down to Colt and well see if he can win the game, I think he can. Ill take Texas.

3. Mizzou vs. 17. Okla St. This game is going to be a whole lot of fun to watch seeing as how we have the number two and number 3 scoring offenses in the country. The most impressive thing about Mizzous offense is that they have yet to go three and out. QB Zac Robison will be powering Ok St offense and he is the third highest rated qb in the country. OK ST defense is giving up 338 yards and im figuring that Mizzou will put up more yards than that. Chase Daniel is the early Heisman front runner and Jeremy Macklin is one of the most exciting WR's in college football. Ill take Mizzou.

4. LSU vs. 11. Florida. If this game didn't have enough hype around it coming in LSU defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois had to go open his mouth and say that the Tigers were going to try and knock Tebow out of the game. Tebow is the last player i would want to piss off. I mean the kid is a nut giving him bulletin board material is not smart. LSU qb situation is still a mess which means there gonna have to rely on the run. As for Florida Urban Meyer finally has figured out how to use Chris Rainy who is coming off a 103 yards rushing performance. Florida is pissed, Tebow is hungry and also pissed. So with that said ill take the Gators ( lets all hope Erin Andrews works this game to!)

6. Penn St. vs Wisconsin. Camp Randell may be one of the most overrated stadiums in college football. Wisconsin just does not have the horses to run with Penn St high powered offense. Penn St by double digits

7. Texas Tech vs. Nebraska. Theres really not alot to talk about here. Bo Pelini went into last weeks game against Mizzou saying they were gonna shut out Mizzou. Well lasted a whole hmmm 50 seconds. Texas Tech will role in and role right back out. Texas Tech BIG!!!

8. USC vs. ASU. How far they have fallen, ASU that is. This team was pre-season 15 and returned Rudy Carpentar with Dennis Erickson coaching it looked like they would be right there for a PAC-10 championship. Now ASU is 2-3 and about too be 2-4. Marc Sanchez is questionable but thats ok because its USC and they 23 other qb's behind him that could start at any other school. This is another game where it should be over by half-time. USC BIG!!!

9. BYU vs New Mexico. BYU has this kid called Max Hall, hes a qb and hes really good. Hes so good that he threw 6 tds in a HALF against UCLA. New Mexico does not have a Max Hall, though they do have a win against Arizona which i guess is impreesve. BYU knows that no one thinks they will be in the national championship, shit their coach came out and openly said it. In the end BYU will win

10. Georgia vs. Tenn. Georgia made be look like an absolute jackass after they came out an laid an egg against Bama going down 31-0 eventually to come back and only lose by 10. None the less i don't like being made a fool of with this said Georgia is going to fucking crush Tennessee. Tennessee Offense is in shambles they have no qb, they scored 13 points against N. Illionis and talks are that Kiffen may end up there. Know-Show Moreno will play this and Georgia like me is not happy that they got embarrassed on national tv. Look to see the Bulldog team we saw in the second half against Bama. Georgia big, if a team could win by 3 digits this would be the game.

12. Ohio St vs. Purdue. Ok i hate Ohio St im sick of them. With that out of the way this is not a big game so that means Ohio St will win. Beanie Wells is a very good running back and Pryor is improving each week. Purdue is stuck in neutral right now and qb Curtis Painter who looked so good last year is having a down year. Buckeyes win this one kids pretty easily

13. Vanderbilt vs. Miss St. I still don't know how Vandy is undefeated, there dead last in the SEC in offense and defense. This where you tell me hey they lead the SEC in takeaways. Vandy is by far the ugliest team to watch, to the point they make a person contemplate pulling a Vince Young. This will prob be the lowest scoring game of the week which means that Vandy will win.

14. Utah vs. Wyoming. Im not even gonna protend that i know a thing about Wyoming cause i don't. I do know however that Utah is a dam good team and is just waiting till Nov 22 when they host BYU. Utah is focused on the prize and securing a BCS bowl game, beating BYU and being undefeated will help them achieve that goal. Utah all the way.

15. Boise St. vs Southern Miss. Ian Johnson, a freshman qb that went into Oregon and won. Well thats all i need to here, Ill take Boise St.

16. Kansas vs. Colorado. Kansas is coming off a come from behind victory against Iowa St. As for Colorado the Buffs are coming off back to back losses to FSU and Texas. If Cody Hawkins can manage the game and freshman running backs Darrell Scott and Rodney Stewart can find the wholes than this game will be interesting. With that said i think Todd Ressing and Kansas will pull this one off but it will be close.

20. Auburn vs. Arkansas. Well Arkansas sucks and Auburns offense sucks so that must mean this game is gonna suck. Probably, Auburn just fired offensive cord Tony Fraklin Wednesday after head coach Tommy Tuberville said he wouldn't. It was evident that Auburn was struggling with the spread but they gave up early. As for Arkansas well they are bad really really bad. Auburn may not score and still win this game that's how bad Arkansas is so ill say Auburn 0 Arkansas -1

22. UNC vs. Notre Dame. Do not adjust your screens yes that is UNC football in the top 25 i no. UNC has a pair of big play receivers and Notre is young and will struggle on the road. Butch Davis is doing it yet again but im not a believe just yet. I hate Notre Dame but i think that Jimmy will pull it out. If UNC wins this i will then truly believe.

23. Michigan St vs. Northwestern. Northwestern is 5-0 but that is about to change. The cats have yet to see a running back like Javon Ringer. The kid is a animal he has 12 tds, 988 yards and is avg 165 yards a game. Ill take Sparty and the Javon Ringer show.

25. Ball St vs. Western Kentucky. Earlier in the year my friend Josh played Ball St and he warned me about them. He said im telling you there good they will have one of the top offenses in the country, i laughed at this. Well ill be dammed cause hes been right Ball St lowest scoring output this season is 31 and there still moving the ball without star receiver Donte Love who was paralyzed a few weeks ago. Ill take Ball St and that offense.

ALCS Preview

Game 1 of the ALCS is tonight and it will feature the Boston Red Sox vs. the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays won the season series 10-8 and are 8-1 at the Trop versus the Sox's this season. The Rays will be sending Jaime Shields to the mound who went 14-8 with a 3.56 era. Shields is 2-4 in 8 career starts versus the Sox's with an era of 5.23. Shields has pitched well at home this season against the Sox's going 2-0 with a 1.17 era. At Fenwat though its a different story, he is 0-2 with a era of 21.21 which is just awful. The guy that Shields has struggled with the most is David Ortiz who is .500 with 2hrs and 6 rbi's. Shields did pitch well in is only playoff outing going 6 1/3 and allowing 3 runs versus the White Sox's. One thing that bods well for Shields is that he has been lights out at home this season, posting a record of 9-2 with a 2.59 era. On the other side the Sox's will be throwing Dice K out there who went 18-3 with a 2.90 era. Dice K on the road this season has also been lights out, and arguably the best road pitcher in baseball. Matsuzaka went 9-0 2.37 era. In his only postseason outing Matsuzaka struggled, going 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. Dice K has not pitched great in his career versus Tampa Bay posting a record of 2-3 with a 3.75 era. On the season he is 1-0 with a 3.00 era. One thing that is a positive though for him is that he did dominate them in his last outing, going 5 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 7.

The Sox's have been a perennial playoff power since reeling off eight straight wins in the 2004 postseason, erasing a 3-0 deficit to the New York Yankees in the ALCS and eventually winning its first World Series since 1918. The Red Sox also entered this year as reigning champions, overcoming a 3-1 series deficit to Cleveland in last season’s ALCS and winning seven straight, capped by a World Series sweep of Colorado. The fact that Boston is again on the cusp of representing the AL is no great surprise, but its opponent is more than a bit stunning. The Rays came into 2008 with nothing but a decade of losing to their credit. They’d never won more than 70 games in a season and compiled the worst cumulative record in baseball since 1998, their first year of existence. The Rays went 57-24 at the Trop this season, which was the best home record in baseball, and are currently 2-0 at home in the playoffs. If there was one thing the Rays were able to do against the Sox's it was that they knew how to win the close games. The Rays were 6-0 in one run games this season against Boston, the one run victory's led to the Rays winning the season series. Something to being looking for tonight is pitcher Jaime Shields. Shields if you remember was a big part of that mid season bench clearing brawl that led to him and Coco Crisp doing their best Rocky vs. the Russian impersonation.

In the end the match up favors the Sox's considerably, from pitching to lineup to managing its all in the Sox's favor. People try to make a big deal about Dice K and his control but honestly I'm sick of hearing that shit. OK he has struggled with his control we know but look closely at the numbers, opponents are hitting just .211 against him, which is the worst average against any starter in baseball. If the Rays are going to get to the World Series then their gonna need Eva Longoria to start hitting. Eva was the teams MVP in the regular season hitting .272 with 27hrs and 85 rbi's all while missing 40 games. In the playoffs though he hasn't been the same player, in his first game he had 2 hrs and 3 hits but then went 1-12 the rest of the series. When everything is said and done i don't think the Rays have a prayer to win this series. The Sox's have the experience the better pitching, and they have been there before. I say take expercience over youth. Soxs in 5

NLCS Preview

This is the first time the Dodgers and Phils have met in the playoffs since 1983. They Phillies may have the better regular season match up, but that doesn't mean there going to win this series. The Dodgers pitching shut down the leagues best offense, but unfortunately for them they may be facing the NL's second best lineup. Also keep in mind the Cubs could not hit right handed pitching at, the Phillies wont have the same stuggles with Howard and Utley. Another thing the Phillies can do is run. Jimmy Rollins had 47 sb and Shane Victorino had 36, also Jayson Werth was able to swipe 20 bags. The hitter that I'm gonna being watching from the Phillies is Chase Utley. Utley came out of the gates on fire hitting 25 hrs, and hit .291, after the All-Star break Utley hit just 8 hrs. Utley and Howard both struggled against the Brewers hitting just .154, if the Phillies are going to win this series they need to get production from their top two hitters.

The Dodgers aren't the leagues most patience team, but at times against the Cubs they looked like there bats were glued to their shoulders. In game 1 it may not be the best stratagey to be patience with Cole Hamels, because if they get behind in counts they are in trouble. Once the Dodgers get by Hamles though things look promising. The Phillies other three starters can all get into trouble when there behind in the count, and all rely on the hitters getting themselves out. The Dodgers are going to need to get production from other hitters such as James Loney and Andre Either, becasue we all know that Jerry Maunel is planning on giving Manny Ramirez the Barry Bonds treatment. Manny looks like a new guy in LA playing hard and bringing a fresh new vibe to that locker room. Something to keep an eye on is the Dodgers starting pitching. We know the Phillies have the best pitcher in the series in Cole Hamles, but overall the Dodgers have the better post-season rotation. Lowe loves the big moments and it is a contract year, we know what that means, also the last time Lowe lost in the postseason was 2003 since then hes 4-0 with a 2.93 era. Chad Billingsly is one of the most underratted pitchers in baseball, and showed that in the NLDS. Hiroki Kuroda versus the Phils this year has dominated them. In two games he is 1-0 with a 1.38 era.

In the end I dont think I know who is going to win this series, the Dodgers. I picked the Dodgers at the beginning of the playoffs to reach the World Series and im sticking with that pick. The Dodgers are an improved Rockies team from last season, they have cought lighting in a bottle. The MVP of this series is not going to be Manny simply because the Phillies will not throw to him. So my MVP of the series is the guy who is fully healthy now and changes the whole game, Rafael Furcal. Furcal played 36 and had 8 sb and hit 357. Furcal will get on base, and by doing so will change the way the Phillies approach each game. I like the Dodgers in 7 and if they get by Philly it would set up an extremely interesting matchup back in Fenway.

NBA Preview: Bucks

Recap: The Bucks came out of the gates hot, starting 7-4 with wins over the Cavs, Lakers, and Mavs. Then the wheels fell off in a big way. The Bucks forgot that in the NBA those half court rules do not apply. Their biggest problem was they played some offense but once the ball crossed over the half court line and it was time to play defense they looked like a straight guy at a gay pride convention, absolutely lost. By All Star break they were 19-34, the sad part was unlike the year before they weren't tanking. Over the Bucks final 24 games they went 4-20 and had 8 losses by 16 points or more. To say the Bucks sucked was a major understatement. The Bucks brought in head coach Larry Krystkowiak to improve the defense that failed under Terry Stotts, who was brought in to fix the defensive problems the team had under Terry Porter, who was brought in to fix the defensive problems under George Karl. Does anyone see a pattern here, I don't think i have to make some asshole/controversial remark for you to figure it out. The Bucks horrible seasoning led to the firing of GM Larry Harris and coach Krystkowiak which was no surprise, what was a surprise was the trading away of 1st round pick Yi Jianlian. Jianlian sucked, actually i retract that because saying he sucked is a compliment. If i was a Bucks i would have been hoping for one of two options, Either a hired assassin takes him out while he is sitting on the bench or he came down with a sudden case of SARS. There are a couple of things the Bucks did well, all came in the off season. The Bucks hired Pistons assistant GM John Hammond, who then hired Scott Skiles. Another good move was that Hammond went out and got Richard Jefferson who will help give the Bucks a solid 1-2 punch with Michael Redd. Hammond then used his 1st round pick on WVU star Joe Alexander, who is a project pick with a lot of upside.

Strength: 1-2 punch. The 1-2 punch is Redd and Jefferson, and this is all the Bucks have. A lot of teams will struggle to match up on the wings with these two becasue they can shoot and slash. Redd will clearly be the go to guy in the lineup, and with the addition of Jefferson he will have more chance to catch and shoot. Jefferson is going to be the best slasher this team has seen in a long time. Jefferson also has a solid mid-range j.

Weakness: Everything Else. once you get past Redd and Jefferson the Bucks are bad, real bad. They have Andrew Bogut, and Charlie Villanueva, who some people think are good, i think those people are IDIOTS. Bogut and Villanueva are serviceable that's about it, i honestly believe that if you were to take Redd and Jefferson off this team they would lose to North Carolina. Bogut and Villanueva look like they both are stuck in quick sand, and neither one has a vertical over 1inch. Enough talk about these 2 smucks, lets look at 1st round pick Joey A. Now i don't want to be too critical of Joey cause he went to WVU but I'm not his biggest fan. Joey is a nice kid who is gonna hustle his ass off, but he is extremely raw to say the least. He had 1 good year at WVU and that was under Huggy Bear who does wonders with kids ( on and off the court, ie.. his drinking with underage girls). Alexander was drafted off of his potential alone, rightfully so though because his ceiling is high. Alexander will work hard and be a great kid to have in the locker room, just don't look to see much from him in his rookie year. Hes not the best shooter and is raw at all other fascists of the game but like i said he will hustle.

Outlook: Boy is this team gonna suck. Teams are going to try and turn each game into a 5 on 2 game. They will let Redd and Jefferson get their numbers and hold everyone else in check. The Bucks will have problems on d especially down low with those two players who at this point i refuse to even name. In the back court the Bucks have three backup point guards, none of which deserve to start in the NBDL let alone the NBA. Another issue is the Bucks have capped themselves for the next three seasons with some of their signings. Most likely the Bucks will be in that Brandon Jennings Ricky Rubio sweep stakes.

Prediction: 30-52

NBA Preview: Magic

Recap: The magic had an interesting off season, an off season where they saw Billy Donovan accept the job one day and quit the next. Donovan's loss was Stan Van Gundy's gain, and Van Gundy seized his opportunity. The Magic won 52 games and the Southeast Division, and made it too the second round where they lost to the Pistons. Van Gundy turned this team from a soft team into a physical team. He turned Hedo Turkoglu the teams former 6th man into a play maker and had him run the offense more times than the point guard. All this work lead to Turkoglu winning the Most Improved Player award. Another big positive for the Magic was that Dwight Howard turned the corner from being a good player to a great player. Howard had his best offensive year, led the league in rebounds and made a significant improvement on the defensive end. The only flaw in Howard's game is his FT shooting where he shot 59%. My advice is less time preparing for the dunk contest and more time at the line. But i cant knock Howard because i like the kid alot he reminds me of a younger Shaq. Besides Howard and Turkoglu the magic went out and spent a boat load of money on Rashard Lewis, 6 years 122 million to be exact. Now Lewis was not worth a 122 mill but he did play well averaging 18.2 pts and 5.4 boards. Now the Magic did not stop with the moves at the trade deadline they sent Trevor Ariza someone i like because he has alot of upside to the Lakers for Brian Cook and Maurice Evans. Now Cook was a disaster in Orlando, they should have pulled the plug on him about 2 weeks into the deal. For Evans however, he was a nice surprise, he worked hard and played his ass off which payed, by the end of the year he was the starting shooting guard. Because Howard demanded so many double teams the magic were able to get alot of good looks from 3 and took advantage, hitting 38.6% of their 3's which was 4th best. The problem for the magic was they could shoot the lights out but they had trouble creating a shot. When they were able to create a shot they hit it, but often times they had trouble getting shots off. A interesting stat is that the Magic had the 6 best offense and the 5th best defense, the numbers actually project the Magic as a 58 win team. The paper numbers didn't translate to wins but its a possible sign of what to come from the Magic.
Strength: Forwards. The Magic may have the best front court in basketball. Howard is the best Center in basketball arguably the best big man in basketball, but what helps Howard be so effective is that he has two 6'10 forwards that can put the ball on the floor and score from anywhere. Lewis and Turkoglu are match up nightmares for teams because it requires there big men to go out to the top of the key and perimeter an man up against them, doing this now leaves the paint wide open to penetrate with guards. These forwards are not one trick pony's either each of them can guards. Howard emerged as one of the top shot blockers and Lewis size gives opposing players fits because he is so lanky, the same can be said for Turkoglu.
Weakness: Bench. To say the Magic bench is composed of rookies and retards is an understatement. The Magic bench is like a circus you never know what your going to see, though you know it should be highly entertaining weather for the good or bad. The Magic loss Keyon Dooling and Carlos Arroyo who were their best bench players, leaving Keith Bogans to carry the load. The bench also has Tony Battie who is awful, JJ Redick who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. The bench's best player will be 1st round pick Courtney Lee out of Western Kentucky. If Lee doesn't produce then the Magic could be facing a big problem, having to run their starters alot longer then they would like.
Outlook: If there is one thing i know its that you eventually have to give your starters a rest. When the Magic run into this problem there gonna struggle. The lack of depth on this team is going to be their Achilles heal all season. The Magic starting five is one of the best in the league espically when you look at them upgrading their shooting guard position when they added Pietrus, and you have to love their big 3. Another problem the Magic could face this year is the injury bug, something that they did not have to deal with last season. With that said whenever you have a player like Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis you have to think the team is going to compete and win there fair share of games. The southeast is a weak divison so the Magic will win that and get a top 4 seed but most likely they will get the 4 seed and run into the Green Machine in the 2nd round. The Magic would need all the Magic in the world in order to get by the Boston Three Party, and even then it wont happen.
Prediction: 49-33

NBA Preview: Heat

Recap: There have been worse teams than the 07 Heat but none of them had two hall of famers on their team. The Heat went 15-67, just one year removed from the playoffs and two years removed from a championship. To say this team crashed faster than the stock market may be an understatement. D. Wade and Shaq were a big part of this disaster, Wade tired to come back from off-season shoulder surgery but it was clear from the get go that he was not 100%. Wade never had the same explosion that he had from years previous and by mid season he was done. One thing i can say for Wade is that at least he tried out there, the same cannot be said for Shaq. The Big Diesel limped through the first have of the season with his usual mentailty of im saving myself for the playoffs. Problem with that was there was not going to be any playoffs and Shaq was aware of this, so he packed it in, Manny Ramirez style and got traded to phoenix where suddenly he showed some life. Luckily for the heat they got a steal and got Shawn Marion in the deal. Shaq and Wade were not the only problems for the Heat though. Miami mortgaged away their future in order to win a championship, and well that bill came due last year. Jay Williams and Zo both broke down, and so when that happen the Heat turned to Ricky Davis, and Penny Hardaway to fix the bleeding, but neither helped. The only positive last season had was that they realized that they sucked so they began to tank it, and boy o boy did that pay off because they ended getting Michael Beasley who will come in and have an immediate impact.

Strength: Speed. This may be the new Suns, really. Your probably laughing but I'm dead serious no bullshit. The Heat picked up Shaun Livingston who if can stay healthy solves their point guard issue, i mean the kid is a potential stud still. Then you have Wade, If and i mean IF we see the Wade of the Olympics than i hereby put the rest of the league on notice to watch out. Wade when healthy can penetrate the lane as good as anyone. Then we have the matrix and Beasley, both are young, fast, and agile. Marion can slice and dice as well as shoot and rebound, Beasley is going to give you 17ppg and get around 7boards. With this type of team there is no reason that they cant score 100 points a game.

Weakness: Inside Scoring. This is obvioius. There 4 is Beasley and there 5 is Haslem. Beasley is going to be good, really good but he is a rookie and is going to have games when you just wont be able to rely on him, which takes us to Haslem. Haslem is well..., special yea special is the word im looking for. I mean the guy is not going on there and getting you 15-20 points a night, i mean just look at the guy he looks like predator with a touch of down syndrome. With that said the guy tries so i cant totally shit on him but hes undersized to be the teams center.

Outlook: I think i am the only person who truly believes in this team to the point that if they are fully healthy they can make a run at the Celtics and be in the Conference championship. All of the following have to occur for my prediction to come true. 1. Shaun Livingston can make it through an entire season an play like the lottery pick he was, he has so much raw talent its not even funny, when ever you tell me your staring point guard is only 1 inch smaller than your small forward and 2 inches smaller than your power forward im gonna tell you that you have a pretty dam good player. 2. IF Dwayne Wade can make it through the year. Wade was without a doubt the best player on the court every game during the Olympics, yes better than Kobe, and LeBrick, and it wasn't even close friends. If Wade stays healthy he will be in the MVP talks and will carry the team a long ways and deep into the playoffs. 3. Can Beasley live up to the hype. I think he can. Beside O.J. Mayo Michael Beasley was the next college player ready for the NBA. Now he wont average 26 ppg like he did at K-State but that doesn't mean that he wont get his numbers. I see Beasley being this years Kevin Durant, coming in getting 17 and 7 a night, and if the the Heat get that then mark my words this is a team that will contend for one of the top spots in the East. With all this said i truly believe all this will happen, i understand they have a rookie head coach that no one has ever heard of that's ok because he will relate good with this young team. Let me be the first to say that the Heat will be there, where is there you may ask ill tell you. There gonna be in the Garden for game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Prediction : 48-34

NBA Preview: Bulls

Recap: So i think its safe to say that everyone had the bulls a tad over rated going into 07. Rightfully so tho, the team was coming off a 49 win season and a 2nd round playoff appearance, hell some people thought they could win the east. Those hopes came crashing down faster than you Bulls fan can say Marcus Fizer. They crawled out of the gate going 2-10, with two 30 point losses. The bulls started out so bad that after 25 games they fired Scott Skiles who was considered to be one of the safer coaches heading into the year. It was clear that the team didnt buy into Skiles is do what i say or ill kill type of coaching style, so after a 9-16 mark assistant Jim Boylan stepped in. The problem is the bulls really didnt play for him either, they never were even within 6 games of .500 and finshed the season with 33 wins. Heres the puzzling thing, the team was healthy for the whole season, Luol Deng was the only player to miss time (19 games) but that should not have been a problem with the amount of depth they had. I feel that all the trade rumors of Kobe heading there got inside the heads of a few players ( Gordon, Deng). I also feel that a lack of team chemistry had something to do with the fall of the Bulls. Or maybe its just that this team is not that good. Henrich and Gordon exceeded expectations in 06 by a wide margin, but both came back done to earth last year. It also didnt help that Ben Wallace forgot how to play basketball, i mean the guy coming in was offensively challanged but the one thing he had was he d, well that along with his head band appears to still be in Detroit. The achilles heal of the bulls was there shooting, they ranked dead last in 2pt field goal % and overall field goal %. If you cant put the ball in the basket your probably not going to win many games. And of course the bulls being as shitty as they were the first half of the season would go out and make a major deal. Honestly i wonder what goes threw a gm mind when they make the deals they do. Did John Paxton really think that Larry Hughes, and Drew Gooden were really gonna bring the bulls back from the basement of the jv league. This was the same guy that when asked about trading for Kobe or KG would dam near punch you in the face, so when the guy finally does make a move its for these two jackass and a couple other cleveland leftovers. Ask LeBrick James what he thinks about Hughes and Gooden and if you can win with them. And just when you thought hey the season is over its the offseason all is gonna be ok, John Paxson the jackass that he is goes out and signs the scrub of all scrubs Vinny Del Negro. Del Negro has no coaching experience what so ever, i mean i wouldnt trust this guy to coach a Boys and Girls youth basketball team.

Strength: Depth. The bulls have so much depth that they could create there own european division of bulls backup players. Each position has a backup that could start on most other teams. PG- Henrich and Rose, SF- Deng and Nocioni, SG- Hughes, Gordon, and Sefolosha, at PF they are undersized with Thomas and Gooden, and at C they again are undersized with Noah and Grey. IF Paxton was smart he would trade away a couple of these guys and get a true 4 or 5 so they dont get completely out rebounded every night.

Weakness: Inside Scoring. If i was a bulls fan i would be searching for Luc Longly right now cause i think he may be better than the guys they have right now in the paint. Thomas is undersized and raw, Gooden has never lived up to the potential he showed while at Kansas, Noah is more of a Hype man than anything, he comes in energizes the team but to say he is a threat in the paint is like saying Ricard Collier is gonna beat Usian Bolt in a race. Now had the bulls had a coach like D'Antoni i would be saying the bulls are a threat because they cane run, but instead they are going to be a boring half court offense that will get out reounded every night and fail to put up alot of points in the paint. Which brings us to the Rose Beasley debate, and who they needed more. I think Beasley becasue he would have provided inside scoring yes he is under sized bt he has a killers mentatily and you already have good gaurds.

Outlook: The bulls are loaded with young talent but young talent doesnt translate to wins, see the 05-06 Celtics. The bulls also take Hughes off the books after this year so the future is bright in Chicago, very bright. But in 08-09 i feel the bulls will struggle, Despite the praise my friend Drew gives D. Rose and how he is a hybrid of CP3 and Derron Williams i dont see it. It generally takes pg a full season to get use to the speed of the league, and it may take Rose longer becasue it took him half a season at college to get going. Rose will be good just not that good. The other problem the bulls face is again there big men suck. They are not gonna move anyone out of the way nor will they get boards which spells trouble. Now of course there are wild cards here, if Del Negro can actually coach the bulls could be a little better than expected, also if Rose comes out and proves me wrong and drops say 14-15 ppg and 6 ass they could make the playoffs. With that said i see the bulls missing the playoffs but man this is a team that could be real scary in a year or 2
Prediction: 35-47

Kimbo I Just Got Sliced

For a while now i have been saying that Kimbo Slice is so overrated its not even funny. If this guy was so good then UFC would have picked him. Kimbo built up his legendary status by beating up a bunch of retards in backyards an allyes, posted them on youtube and people all around the world said and i quote "Kimbo is a beast". Well Kimbo is not a beast, far from. It took 14 seconds by a guy who had pink hair and had not fought in 2 years to beat this baboon. Kimbo had 2 inches and 30 pounds on his opponent Seth Petruzelli. Hopefully this is the end of the road for Kimbo and also CBS and this fighting experiment they have going. CBS turned this joker into the baddest man on earth, he will kick anyones ass is what i often heard. Yes he will kick anyones ass, as long as they are 2-3 inches shorter than, weight 30lbs less than him, an come into the fight with some sort of visuable disability. I mean seriously the guys they threw out there were nothing short of comical i was thinking to myself who is next really? how bout a guy in a wheelchair, or maybe someone in a coma, cause surely the guys they were running out there against him were not fighters. This is how bad it was, Ken Shamrock yes Ken Shamrock the 44 year old grandpa who is 1 punch to the head away from being the next Muhammad Ali couldnt fight becasue he suffered a boo-boo on his head, so EliteXc tried to get his brother, Ken Shamrocks brother is a color commentator for CBS who hasnt fought for years, has a broken arm and gave 40lbs to Kimbo. Really now thats the best they could do, i got an idea why not take the popcorn vendor from isle 3 or how about that fat ass fan thats sitting in the front row, you know that guy that has a Stone Cold Steve Austin shirt reading 3:16 thats 2 sizes two small with beer stains all over, yea that guy go get him. So once Kimbo got his ass handed to him XliteXc scrambled to try and find a way to spin this, and they did here is what they said "This is MMA, all the best have lost". This statement is true some of the best have lost, to some of the OTHER BEST! Tito Ortiz loss to Ken Shamrock, Chuck Liddell lost to Randy Coute and vice versus, Quinton Rampage Jackson loss to Foresst Griffen and so on, and we would like to keep going the best fighter in the world pound for pound Anderson "The Spider" Silva has yet to lose in the UFC, undefeated in the 185lb and 205lb weight class. So in XliteXC eyes Kimbo could throw bows with these guys, heres the thing if Kimbo losses to a scrub like Petruzelli, what would happen when he fought a real fighter like all the fighters mentioned above, i can tell you what would happen, they would hype the fight up for months then it would be fight night Kimbo would walk into the ring the bell would ring and that would be the end of his life, plain an simple. Just a couple of years ago you could have seen this clown on the streets because he was homeless, only in America can you beat up other homeless people and get famous for it. So where does he go from here? Well he cant get back into the ring as a headline act because he sucks, and the only way he will get respect is if he beats someone better than him, and that wont happen. So i have come up with a few career paths Kimbo can take. 1. Go on dancing with the stars 2. Fight Jose Canseco, hes always looking to make money 3. Go back to the streets or 4. maybe the most sensible choice for him and everyone else, Go to New York walk to the Geroge Washington bridge, yes walk hes probably too dumb to operate a motor vechile, when he gets to the bridge JUMP!!! Hopefully for him and all of us this puts an end to his 15 seconds of fame.

NBA Preview: Knicks

Recap: The 07 knicks were a disgrace to basketball. I could have assembled a starting 5 of midgets, retards, and handicap people and been more competive than they were. It took James Dolen 2 years to realize Isiah Thomas isnt qualifed to run a Diary Queen let alone a NBA franchise. Thomas won 23 games last year with a team that had talent which is the sad part about all this. The season was lossed form the get-go but what sent it straight to the shitters was when the team was on a flight to the West Coast. On that flight Isiah got into a little argument with the leagues most overpayed player Stephon Marbury, but this is not where the season went to hell it was when he reinstated Marbury the next game that the team quit on him. The highlight of Thomas tenure with the knicks may have been his sexual harrasement case but thats a whole nother story. His big offseason pick of Zach Randolph combined with Eddy Curry was suppose to make the Knicks relevant. Well to say the least it didnt work, Randolph and Curry work about as well as R Kelly works with teenagers. Needless to say it is a bad combo. On offense Curry and Randolph had their worst numbers yet, and on defense they were an utter abomination, sticking two of the leagues laziest and slowest players in the paint allowed teams to drive to the hole without being touched. The Knicks could have stuck two card board cut outs of the players and done a hell of alot better, and would have saved a pretty pennny.

Strength: Inside scoring. When the Knicks are succusful its when they run their offense through the low posts, and yes i know i just got done shitting on Curry and Randolph but offensivly they have talent espically with D'Antoni running the offense. Just two years ago Randolph averaged 23.6 points per game so he has talent. As for Curry all he has to do is throw his fat ass around to create some room for Randolph. Then theres David Lee who is a perfect compliment to these lazy bums and fits D'Antoni's system perfectly. There is even a outside shot that Lee starts over Curry becasue he roams the weakside so well. Another guy to look at in this new run and gun offense is Quinton Richardson, who can eat up smaller guards and had his best season under D'Antoni while in PHX.

Weakness: Interior Defense. The Knicks were dead last in block shots last year, and figure to lose a good amount of games becasue they cant stop anyone from getting to the basket. In fact this year they may be more pathetic because they traded away there leading shot blocker, Balkman. You have to figure the Knicks wont pack it in for D'Antoni like they did for Thomas, with that said D'Antoni is the Mike Leach of basketball coaches, he does not believe in defense at all if he could tell his team after every offensive possension to stop at half court he would.

Outlook: There is no way in hell the Knicks are as bad as they were last season they cant be. The team will play for D'Antoni becasue they like him unlike Isiah. Certainly there are some good vibes coming from D'Antoni about this team but whenever you have Marbury and Curry on your team its safe to say that you are looking forward to being in the Lottery. Other than career backup Chris Duhon and first round pick Gallinari this is Isiah's team. The same problems Thomas faced D'Antoni will face, lazy unmotivated big men, shoot first ask questions later guards, and a bunch of overpaid smucks that fill out the bench. This season is more of whats to come for the Knicks, they will still suck you can bet on that but now there is a glimmering of light at the end of the tunnel.

Prediction: 29-53

NBA Preview: Celtics

Recap: The celtics won 66 games and this thing called a championship. Danny Aigne went out and got Ray Allen and the Big Ticket KG. These two moves along with a much improved Rajon Rondo, a re-energized Paul Pierce and a bench filled with role players who knew their role propelled The celtics to a championship an a long waited duck boat tour. The c's had the greatest one year improvement in league history, but no one really saw the domiance the celts had coming. Maybe the biggest offseason move for the celtics was the hiring of Tom Thibodeau from the Rockets. Thibodeaus scheme helped turned Boston into one of the greatest defensive teams ever ( their defensive efficiency rate was the 3rd highest all time).

Strength: Their biggest strength for the celtics is not the big 3 but teamwork. The celtics have adopted the Spurs method of basketball, there is no I in team. It is easy to win when you have Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett, it is not easy to keep all of them in check because each is going to want the ball in key moments and each is goning to want to get their stats. From day 1 Pierce, Allen, and Garnett, bought into Doc Rivers brand of ball and all said hey if we have to sacrifice our own individual numbers for the better of the team we will do it. The bench talent was not the best bench with the likes of Sam Cassell, PJ Brown, Leon Powe, Eddie House, Big Baby and James Posey. As a unit though the came together beautifully. You had the cagie vets in Brown and Casell, the shooters in House and Posey, the bangers in Big Baby and Powe. The celtics return almost all of their bench minus posey and brown, but they drafted JR Giddens who is a super freak and Bill Walker who is an excellent player when healthy, they also signed Darius Miles in the offseason.

Weakness: Inside Scoring. Your probably thinking how i could say this when they have KG but to say KG is a banger down low is like saying Kevin Everett is a excellent dancer. KG plays a soft 4 and loves his fade away j. So then this leaves Perkins who is in my eyes offensivly challanged. Now Perkins is a very good defensive player and a monster on the boards but hes not going out and getting you 20 points. I would have to say that Leon Powe is the best true low post threat, and when your best low post threat is your 7th or 8th man thats never a good thing. Luckily for Boston the Center position has all but died with Dwight Howard the only true Center in the league (Bynum is up and coming).

2008 Outlook: The Celtics ran threw the NBA's jv league known as the East last season. But that was last season and the East has cought up with the West. Now Boston has to worry about Philly, Detriot, the Raptors, Cavs, and Magic. So if Boston has a season like last year i would be stunned. There are a couple of things to look out for this year. One is age, Boston is not a young team with Pierce being 31, KG 32 and Allen 33. Another is it is unlikely for Boston to play defense like they did last year. Now will they be the best defensive team in basketball? Yes, will they lead the league in efficiency like they did last year, doubtful. Losing Posey will hurt as well. Now i am not as high on Posey as other i think he is good but a healthy Darius Miles with Bill Walker and JR Giddens can easily fill the void. With all that said you cant create a sceniaro where the Celtics dont finish with the best record in the East. Pierce would have to be stabbed 11 more times, KG would have to get hit by a car in order to miss any b-ball an Allen well all it takes to keep him out is an ankle injury. With that said The East is good, just not as good as the Celtics. The Celtics will roll through the regular season again, but can they survive the young sixers, LeBrick, or Kobe only time will tell.

Prediction: 58-24

They are who we thught they were

To say the cubs choked this year does not do justice, becasue you actually have to show up to the game in order to choke. No no a choke is when you are 5 outs away from a World Series and then fall apart an blame it on a fan. This may be the worst cubs postseason loss yet. In 03 they were a feel good story, up until september that year they were playing around 500. ball, once september hit Prior and Wood hit theirs strides and carried the team. Once the playoffs hit they were underdogs against a good braves team and ended up winning the series. Then they took on the Marlins another young and up coming team. At this point Cubs fans were thinking hey we didnt expect this but well take it and it could finally happen, but it didnt. But that is ok becasue that year laid the foundation or so we thought. Little did we know that Prior would become best friends with the DL, and wood would turn into Rick Ankiel. You might think last season was worse, well your worng. Last season they did get swept in the 1st round and yes fans were pissed, understandable, but their was a sense of ok now we know next year is are year. Haha well now we are at next year at well.... its still not their year. The cubs won 97 games this year and were clearly the best team in the NL all year. They drew a great matchup against a dodger team that has 1 true weapon in Manny. So what do the Cubs do, well what do you think? They got swept again. The cubs got embarssed in the 1st two games of the series, and game 3 was their best game yet but they only scored 1 run. Heres another problem 1 month ago the Dodgers were 5 games under .500 and had a 8 game losing streak. Lets take a moment to reflex on the job Joe Torre has done and the fact that they WILL be in Fenway for atleast two games with Manny in the outfield. Ok back to our reguarly scheduled ripping of the Cubs. The cubs lost this season becasue they can not hit right handing pitching, this lineup made D. Lowe look like a cy young winner, Billingsley went out there and pitched 6 2/3 an allowed 1 runs, and Hiroki Kuroda who coming in had a 0.59 era against the cubs this season went up and did it again pitching 6.1/3 allowing no runs. The fact that the cubs let these 3 bums beat them is bad. The cubs hitting checked out before this series even started. Soriano went 1-14 and ended the cubs serious with a check swing on a pitch at his feet, Soto went 2-10 after he had a great season, and Ramirez went 2-11. On another note does anyone else see Alfonsio Soriano turning into the black A-rod. Soriano is a career .213 hitter in October with 4 hrs in 44 games. Thats horrible, does he not get the same memo everyone else does that baseball doesnt end in September. To quote Dennis Green "They are who we thought they were." Once again the cubs have left their fans wondering what if. Coming into the year the team slogan was "its gonna happen" well it happened all right, again. I do have a solution on how to end this curse, it goes as followes: bring a goet to home plate... Kill it+ Bartman throws out the 1st pitch+ Bartman sings the 7th inning stretch= a world series.

NFL PICKS WEEK 5

Time to break down some key matchups in week 5

Colts -3 vs Texans : Breaking News the Texans suck. What a shock i know, The colts come into this came fresh off a bye which they badly needed because Peyton Manning has looked like shit this season, to add on to Manning playing like shit the colts forget that there is this thing called a running back and that well go figure he RUNS THE FUCKING BALL. Addai has been pittyful to watch this season. He has 142 yards and 3 tds so far and has been held under 50 yards twice this season, with that said he is coming off the best outing of the season rushing for 78 yards an 2 tds so look for addai to keep it going this week. On the other side of the ball what the hell is wrong with the Houston Texans, they suck. The highlight of their season to this point has been Hurricane Ike i think. Matt Schaub is so bad i wouldnt let him quaterback a pop warner team seriously, i mean this guy is TERRIBLE. He has 4 tds 5ints, Matt Schaub is the walking posterchild of medicority. How in the hell can you be so bad when you have a reciever like Andre Johnson on your team i just dont know. In one bright spot former wvu semi-star Steve Slaton has looked solid running behind the biggest joke of an offensive line in football. Look for the Colts to roll through. Prediction: Colts 35 Texans 17

Eagles-6 vs the skins

In what i believe is the game of the week you have two of the best teams in football going head to head. Philly comes in a 6 point favoirte which is somewhat of a surpise to me, i mean philly is coming off a loss to da bears while the skins went into big d and came out with a w. I understand the game is being played at the Linc but 6 point is a tad i high. I do feel that philly will win this came becasue this is a make or break game for them. Yes a make or break game in week 5 here me out. The team is 2-2 in the toughest divison in football and already have a loss against a divisonal foe (dallas) to fall to 2-3 and 0-2 in the divsion would be devasting. The skins on the other hand are clicking. Jim Zorn has turned Jason Campbell into the black Matt Hasselbeck aka the master of the dink and dunk. Campbell looks great so far with 6 tds and no turnovers and Santana Moss is playing like Randy Moss. In the end going on the road and winning 2 in a row i hard and this is the skins 3 road game already. This will be a great game but i have to think philly has a little more to play for right now Prediction: Eagles 24-21

Titans -2.5 vs Baltimore

The surprising Titans take their act on the road against the Fighting Flaccos. The big ? is if Vinny i want to die Young will get any snaps. Young has been promoted to 2nd string this week so that probably keeps him from killing himself for a couple weeks. Really whats wrong with this guy, your a professional athlete grow some balls and quite bitching already. The fans are booing me, the fans dont like, blah blah blah, cry me a river. The problem is that Young peaked in college and he knows this. He was given everything in the world at Texas, he could have went out and done anything he wanted and becasue he was Vince Young he could get away with it. His greatest accomplish was a championship with Texas something that he probably will never achieve with Tennessee. Young has alot of growing up to do before we see him under center. As for the Flaccos well i hate him hate hate hate hate Flacco. I dont know exactly what it is but i dont like him maybe its that he played at D1aa in a shotgun offense that threw the ball a 1,000 a game, maybe its that he looks retarded when hes under center, or maybe its just becasue i feel he was a 2-3 round talent that got taken at 18. I dont know you decided. None the less Balitmores d will keep them in this for a while and bascially it will come down to which ever offense makes the fewer mistakes. With that said i will take the Titans mainly becasue they have a veteran qb at the helm and a running back that looks to be ROY. Prediction: Titans 17-10

Finally

Falcons +3.5 vs The team formly known as Farve

The falcons and Pack are equal this week with the possiblity of Aaron Rodgers not playing. So lets say Rodgers does sit out that leaves 7th round draft pick Matt Flynn and 2nd round pick Brian Brohm. Those names strike the fear of god into everyone i know. The Falcons are playing good ball this year and could have pulled the upset over the Panthers had their recievers not caught a case of the dropsies. Which reminds me the Dropsies All-Star Team through four weeks: Bernard Berrian and Andre Johnson starting WRs , Daniel Graham starting TE, Braylon Edwards and everyone on Atlanta and Tennessee backups, Ben Watson injured reserve, and every fullback in the league. Berrian has to be the MVP. I'd love to see a game show in which he tries to catch various things -- keys, babies, Jell-O, pop flies, knives, you name it. If you're ever holding a baby and leaning out of a burning building and Bernard Berrian says, "Throw the baby, throw it to me," I suggust you to seek alternatives. Prediction: if ryan throws under 25 times i say Falcons pull off the upset 21-17. If Ryan throws over 25 times i say Pack win 17-14
