Mock Draft

1. Det- M. Stafford: If i were the Lions i would draft Andre Smith and build through the line. The team is going to suck next year anyways, might as well wait on a qb and go after Cassell in a year

2. STL- A. Smith: Sensible pick here, the rams are in a rebuilding period and starting with a gifted o-lineman makes all the sense in the world

3. KC- M. Sanchez: Taking Sanchez means they are giving up on Tyler Thigpan. Sanchez may not be ready bu who really knows, he has a high ceiling here and looks great in his final game as a Trojan.

4. SEA- M. Crabtree: Sea needs off help, especially at wr. Crabtree is a lock, its something to think Texas wanted him to play safety

5. CLE- A. Curry: Curry is a tackling machine, and will help a def that has a good number of holes.

6. CIN- M. Oher: CIN o-line was god awful last season, Carson Palmer will be pleading for some protection, Oher can come in and contribute right away.

7. OAK- J. Macklin: Al David loves speed and Macklin is a bullet, i do not believe he is top 10 talent, not yet. Macklin is still raw as a wr, but Davis is gonna want a speedy wr that JaMurcus can throw it up to

8. Jags- E. Monroe: The jags need some o line help, Monroe is a steady tackle that can start immediately for them

9. GB- M. Jenkins: Al Harris says hes not coming back, and Charles Woodsen is 33. Jenkins has all the tools to be a top flight corner in the NFL

10. SF- B. Orakpo: SF needs help on the d-line, the Manny Lawson project has not really panned out to this point. Orakpo is a fast end who can help keep extra lineman off Patrick " What you talking about" Willis.

11. Buff- E. Brown: Brown stock has really been rising over the past season. Buff fell apart due to an inadequate pass rush, Brown is fast and strong and can help them right away

12. Den- R. Maualuga: Maualuga has shinned in the senior bowl practices this week, he is suspect in the pass game, but in the run game he is fierce, him paired with dj williams would be great in Mike Nolan's 3-4 d

13. Wash- J. Smith: Some have Smith as a top 10 pick i think he will fall to wash. Smith would be a welcome edition to a Skins off line that could use a little help.

14. NO- A. Maybin: Maybin is a hybrid lb/de. NO is likely to lose Jonathan Vilma so Maybin would make perfect sense here

15. Hou- V. Davis: Davis may be better than his other Big-10 corner Malcom Jenkins. Hou could let Dunta Robinson go, if so then Davis is a great fit

16. SD- C. Wells: Sporles is a fa, and LT could be on his way out of town. The chargers do not have many needs. Wells is a big hard runner who looked great in the Fiesta Bowl

17. Jets- D.J. Moore: The jets secondary often times got burnt last year. Moore is a solid coverage corner who finished 5th in Vandy history for int. A combo of him and Revis could create havic for AFC East qb's

18. CHI- E. Britton: The bears could take Percy here but i think they go to the o-line where they need help. Britton can start right away and help open lanes for Matt Forte

19. TB- K. Moreno: With the health of Cadillac and Earnest Graham in question Moreno makes sense here. A young back that can contribute right away, in a year this kid is mostly a top 10 pick so 19 is a steal

20. Det- B.J. Raji: He prob will not last this long because he is soaring up draft boards, but if he does Det would have to take him. He has all the tools to be the next Albet Hayneworth

21. ARI- B. Pettigrew: Already have a explosive offense, why not add to it. The cards have great wr, but no true te. Pettigrew could change that adding him gives Warner/Lienart and extra target and frees up the middle.

22. Min- T. Jackson: adding Jackson would equal to the best d-line in football if they don't already have that. Jackson is quick and opposite of Allen could make him a force. Another option here is a wr

23. NE- J. Laurinatis: Laurinatis draft stock took a major hit this year, because last year had he came out would have been a top 10 pick. He often gets lost in traffic and is a little undersized, but at 24 you cant pass him up and Bill will turn him into that lb that everyone thought would be a top 10 pick.

24. ATL- D. Robinson: Atl does not have alot of needs, but Robinson could help on the line. I know its a tad high for a guard but its worth it if he can open holes for Turner and protect Ryan

25. MIA- W. Moore: Moore is an athletic safety that can contribute. He is a solid tackler and proven leader, two things Parcells likes

26. Balt- P. Harvin: The Ravens receiving core sucks, lets not sugar coat the facts, Percy is lighting quick and would be a great addition to Flacco's big arm. If however Ray Ray leaves Brian Cushing becomes the pick

27. Indy- P. Loadholt: A team that does not have many needs, Loadholt could help a line that at times really struggled protecting Manning at times last season. Loadholt was very solid all season at OK

28. Phi- H. Nicks: Nicks final game in Tar Heel blue was a showcase to scouts when he put up over 200 yards. The Eagles already have a deep threat with D-Jax, Nicks would go along great because he is psychical and will go across the middle.

29. NY- B. Cushing: Cushing will hit anything that walks. A great lb that could be gone by this pick due to a great senior bowl week. The Giants may also go wr here pending the Plax's situation.

30. Tenn- M. Johnson: The freak is not getting any younger here so going de makes sense. The titans seem to always go defense minus last year, Johnson has the ability to come off the end and get to the qb or running back in the back field.

31. Phi- L. McCoy: Westbrook is always banged up so taking a reliable rb here is a great insurance policy. McCoy is very shifty and can catch the ball out of the back field, and seeing as how the eagles have few needs this would fit... unless they draft Josh Freeman than i would laugh

32. Pitt- A. Mack: The steelers line is not good, i dont care who you talk to. Mack is the best center is the country and a great all around lineman. Mack is one of the lineman that could be in Pitt for the next 10-12 yrs and Steelers fans would love him.

There are a couple of things I disagree with.

1. Green Bay is likely switching to a 3-4 defense and have enough holes to fill in the front seven thanks to the switch. Jenkins is a good value pick, but I see Green Bay going a little differently come draft day.

2. I still don't think Maclin will even sniff the Top 20.

3. If the Eagles take a back, don't you think they'd go after a power runner to compliment Westbrook?

4. Curry will likely play ILB in the Browns 3-4 scheme. You think they'd take one that high?
